Page Policy
A Page is a person who elects not to hit or be hit with weapons due to an injury or physical handicap at any Alliance LARP event.
All Pages must communicate with staff prior to the event that that person is indeed a Page. During an event it is possible to become a page if the player feels it to be necessary. This player will then seek out a staff member and explain the change of circumstance and the staff member will then notify all necessary personnel of the change of status.
Pages are still able to be struck with packets and participate in combat with packets. All weapon attacks directed at the page will be made by pointing a weapon at the page with the tip of the weapon being no closer than 6 feet from the Page; this rule is to be followed even when administering a killing blow. When attacking a page, the attacker will use the call out “Page x carrier”.
For example, Phil is a page and is in combat. When an enemy begins attacking them, the enemy will call out “Page 3 normal” as they point their weapon at them.
Pages may call defenses such as weapon shields but can not block any attacks.
All Pages are required to wear a bright orange headband that says “PAGE” clearly written on the headband at all times while in game at an event. All Pages are also required to wear orange glow sticks on the headband after dusk and before dawn for visibility.
Due to the standard pieces of identifying costuming that Pages must wear, no other PC or NPC will be allowed to wear an orange headband. If a person is seen wearing these objects and is not Paging, staff will ask said person to remove such clothing.
The orange headband is considered out of game.
