The Season Opener is Almost here!
Happy Wednesday, everyone! Katie here with another blog post - the last one before our season opener in just a touch over a week. Join us as we witness the last dying breaths of one realm, and witness the genesis of another - there is some serious plot unfolding this weekend. Read on for some reminders about the event… and an announcement of one of the biggest in-game giveaways we’ve ever done!
Game is just 9 days away on April 18, which means players only have two more full days to preregister! As Friday rolls to a close at midnight, ticket prices will go up, meal plan tickets will no longer be available, and we can no longer promise fulfillment of any Goblin Stamp or Dragon Stamp orders from logistics. With over 25 mods planned, this is going to be a PACKED weekend…you do not want to miss out! We’re also excited to be hosting a massive in-character contest at this event, sponsored by the Wealth of the legendary retired rogue! Ever since his retirement, the legendary rogue Tristan Mordus bequeathed his entire fortunes to a certain mischievous bard with simple instructions; Give it all away to others, and have a jolly good time while you do it. Without further ado, we have a message from Cadenza herself:
“In this event's episode of WIN TRISTAN MORDUS'S MONEY, Cadenza the Bard would like to announce a truly magnificent occasion to lift spirits and celebrate the hopeful escape of the people of Chiaroscura from an untimely demise.
In your packet, you will find a golden bracelet. If you wish to participate in this competition, please wear it visibly on your person.
There will be games and opportunities to win bracelets over the course of the weekend. Whoever has the most will win a fabulous prize - a twinned pair of heavily enchanted (and nicely physrepped) shortswords. Runner-ups will get the most wonderful of alternate prizes: sweet, sweet, Fortannis gold.
Please note that there is no rule prohibiting you from obtaining them from other adventurers, or the means in which you may use to do so.

We aren’t messing around when we say these are some nice shortswords; Over the course of the contest, players will be competing for a the twin blades Alecto and Tisiphone; tuned to be perfect for any Rogue, Scout, or Adept (Or even a fighter, really!) with a full 20 stack of enchantments on each weapon. Please remember that while plot is supporting the event, it IS 100% player sponsored. Please be good to your fellow participants (out of character, at least!), and make sure to thank both Rebekah and the ghostly spectre of Tristan Mordus for this delightful opportunity.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled event detail reminders! This event is taking place at Sky High Ranch, and is located at 30924 N State Highway 67, Woodland Park, CO, 80863. Players will be welcome at 5pm. We’ll run opening announcements at 9, followed by lay on at 9:30. Lay off and closing announcements are at 10am on Sunday to make sure we are off site before our noon vacate time. It’s not too late to get on our delicious meal plan with a full slate of both standard and vegetarian options (for just $30 you get 5 meals, wow!). The menus can be found posted on our socials, forums and discord! For those bringing their own food, it all needs to be stored in the tavern; bring your own coolers as we will not have fridge space; but there is a microwave, and players are welcome to bring their own small non combustible cooking appliances (just keep them out of the way, please!).
The site has lots of room for activities, including numerous heated cabins and a generously sized parking lot; it is still the last throes of winter out here, so make sure to pack some warm costume base layers! Look below for a reference of the site map!
