Per the Alliance Rule Book v2.1.1 as of 7/15/2024, “packets are made out of a fabric square roughly 5” to 7” per side, with 1 to 2 tablespoons of bird seed in the center, gathered together around the bird seed and either bound closed with a rubber band or sewn shut. Packets should be relatively squishy and around 1”-1.5” in diameter.” 

No packet may have sunflower seeds in them as they are too sharp to be safely thrown. Alliance Larp Colorado recommends parakeet or small bird seed only feed for the small bead like seeds. Another recommended filling is pure millet. Both options are easily acquired at most pet stores. All player packets must be checked once a season for compliance. If a player decides to make new packets they will need to be rechecked for safety. 

Any packets with peanuts, other tree nuts or thistle in them are strictly prohibited.
